Department Chair/Sr Aerospace Science Instructor Lt Colonel Gary Jones
Lt Colonel Jones is the Aerospace Science Department Chair and Senior Aerospace Science Instructor at Chandler High School.
Lt Colonel Jones enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1966 and attained the rank of Sergeant while serving with security forces. He served 19 months of combat duty in Vietnam and received an honorable discharge in 1971.
After receiving his commission through Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps as a Distinguished Graduate, Arizona State University in 1978, he entered active duty and served in a variety of roles during the 24 years he was an active duty officer.
Lt Colonel Jones activated the AFJROTC Unit at Chandler High in 2002 and has received the AFJROTC Outstanding Instructor Award with Merit four times as well as the AFJROTC Regional Instructor Award of the Year in 2015.
Commandant of Cadets MSgt Scott Goodson
MSgt Goodson is the Commandant of Cadets and Aerospace Science Instructor at Chandler High School,
MSgt Goodson enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1986 and retired in 2011 after a distinguished 25-year career on active duty. He served in a variety of domestic and overseas Air Combat Crew and Command Post Controller assignments during his career.
Among his many assignments, MSgt Goodson took part in both Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.
MSgt Goodson joined the AFJROTC Unit at Chandler High upon his retirement in 2011 and received the AFJROTC Outstanding Instructor Award three times.
